After graduating from Caldwell University, DiFlumeri began her professional career with the Women’s Sports Foundation in Long Island. She then served as the Venue Manager at the Rose Bowl for the 1999 FIFA Women’s World Cup, which the U.S. Women’s National Team won in dramatic fashion. After working with Event Transportation Associates in California, she became the Team Operations Manager for the New York Power of the Women’s United Soccer Association (WUSA), managing the team’s financial and operations department. After WUSA shut down, DiFlumeri worked for the non-profit Newark Renaissance House before becoming the Director of Operations for the New Jersey Ironmen alongside current Sky Blue FC General Manager Tony Novo. She then became the Director of Operations for Sky Blue FC during its years in Women’s Professional Soccer before returning to that post in 2013. Also the current General Manager of the New Jersey Wildcats of the USL W-League, the Long Branch, N.J., native additionally worked as the VP of Operations for the Los Angeles Blues of USL-Pro and the W-League in 2012. Contact Gioia DiFlumeri
