Nadim, 27, had an immediate impact when she arrived to New Jersey in 2014.On loan from Fortuna Hjørring, she tallied seven goals and three assists in just six matches, with the goal total being equal to most on the team for the season. Born in Afghanistan, Nadim arrived in Denmark at the age of 12-years-old with her mother and sisters. Once she turned 18, Nadim was granted Danish citizenship and made her debut for the Danish National Team the following year. She began her club career in 2005 for B52 Aalborg and then played for Team Viborg before spending seven seasons with IK Skovbakken. Nadim joined Fortuna Hjørring in 2012 and has spent the past three seasons playing for the Danish side, with the exception of her time with Sky Blue FC on loan in 2014. The well-rounded Nadim also speaks five different languages, and she is currently studying to become a doctor at Aarhus University in Denmark. The Danish National Team did not qualify for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada this summer, so Nadim will be with Sky Blue for the entirety of the upcoming NWSL season.
