Shawna Gordon, who most recently suited up for Umeå IK of the Damallsvenskan League in Sweden, played collegiately at Cal State Long Beach, leading the 49ers to their first appearance in the NCAA College Cup Quarterfinals in 2011. She also received Big West Midfielder of the Year accolades that season, in addition to being named to the All-Big West First Team. At the conclusion of her college career, the durable playmaker etched her name into program record books, where she ranks first all-time in games played (89), sixth in points (58), eighth in goals (17), third in assists (24) and fourth in game-winning goals (7). Gordon spent the 2013 NWSL season with the Boston Breakers, and she then signed a deal with the Western Sydney Wanderers prior to the start of the 2013-14 season of the Australia W-League. In the USL W-League, Gordon played with the LA Blues SC, Arizona Rush and Long Beach FC. The California native spent this past USL season playing on an LA Blues SC side that won a league title by going 15-0-0 on the year and outscoring its opposition, 62-6.
